Together with existing investors MIG Funds and Danube Equity, Robert Bosch Venture Capital GmbH (RBVC) today announced the completion of a 7.1 million Euro investment round in IDENT Technology AG. The investment supports strong growth plans and the introduction of a 3D gesture recognition chip.

IDENT Technology AG, developer of innovative proximity sensing and gesture recognition solutions, has received a new round of investment to develop its GestIC three-dimensional (3D) gesture control chip solution using a fabless semiconductor business model. The GestIC chip, aimed at the high growth 3D gesture control market, allows consumer electronics manufacturers to implement a new generation of user interfaces using any type of free space gesture to control functions of a product.

IDENT Technology AG, developer of innovative proximity sensing and 3D gesture control solutions, has announced that it had signed three license contracts with major IC manufacturers in 2010 for its patented ultra low power proximity (ULPP) technology. In addition, a leading global OEM (original equipment manufacturer) license partner also launched a mouse product utilizing ULPP last month.

IDENT Technology AG announces change in company management:  Peter Rosenbeck will now sit on the Supervisory Board, while Dr. Roland Aubauer becomes Speaker of the Managing Board

Weßling, July 1st, 2010. IDENT Technology AG has announced that Peter Rosenbeck (68), CEO of IDENT Technology AG will retire from the executive management team and take up a position on the company’ Supervisory Board effective from July 1st, 2010. The IDENT management team now comprises of Christopher Kampshoff (Chief Finance Officer) and Dr. Roland Aubauer (Chief Technology Officer). Roland Aubauer becomes Speaker of the Managing Board.

On the occasion of this year’s IFA in Berlin, JOBO, an established supplier of digital picture frames, will present contactless gesture control, developed by IDENT as GestIC, for the first time in a prototype digital picture frame.  At their booth, JOBO’s prototype shows how it is possible through an innovative but simple and intuitive method to scan forward or backward through digital pictures by approaching the left or right side of the digital picture frame.

IDENT Technology AG, based in Weßling near Munich has won the Most Innovative Embedded Mobile or Device-centric Technology category, and is also one of two overall winners, at the EMEA leg of this year’s GSMA Mobile Innovation Grand Prix. Winners were announced during the „HiT Barcelona World Innovation Summit“ that took place in Barcelona last week. The "Mobile Innovation Grand Prix" is held by the global organisation that presents the interest of the worldwide mobile communication industry.

With the help of the IDENT Technology AG Evaluation Boards, developers and decision makers can examine the functions of the respective technology group. Since 2002, IDENT has developed a total of three different technologies. Taking a first step, the promising ULPP technology will from now on be offered in form of the Evaluation Board.

Aus dem Wettbewerb „5000 Euro für Spieleerfinder“ steht der Gewinner fest. Die Jury von Ident Technology hat sich durch eine große Anzahl an Einsendungen gearbeitet dabei das spannendste, kreativste und raffinierteste Spiel gefunden.

Regen Zuspruch fand das Cluster-Treffen Automotive über innovative Elektronik für Sicherheit und Komfort am 7. Dezember bei der Ident Technology AG in Wessling. Über fünfzig Vertreter der Automobilbranche nahmen an der Veranstaltung der Bayern Innovativ GmbH teil, und wurden in Theorie und Praxis über die Bandbreite des Technikszenarios und Applikationen der Datenübertragung im Nahfeld Skinplex der Ident Technology GmbHS informiert. Ziel der Cluster-Offensive "Allianz Bayern Innovativ" unter Federführung von Wirtschaftsminister Erwin Huber ist der Ausbau der Zusammenarbeit zwischen Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft, um neue Potenziale regionaler Wetschöpfung zu erschließen.

1200 Teilnehmer aus 20 Ländern hatte der 8. BAIKA-Jahreskongress im AUDIFORUM in Ingolstadt am 5.7.2006 zu verzeichnen. Die IDENT Technology AG demonstrierte dem staunenden Fachpublikum ihre Skinplex-Technologie in einer Sitzkiste. Hier einige Fotos der Veranstaltung.

Positive Reaktionen löste der Vortrag von Stefan Donat, Vorstand von IDENT Technology AG, über innovative Fahrerassistenzsysteme aus. An der Veranstaltung der Bayern Innovativ GmbH Anfang April diesen Jahres hatten rund 170 Teilnehmer aus Bayern, dem gesamten Bundesgebiet sowie weiteren fünf europäischen Bundesländern teilgenommen.

Edscha, Hersteller von Dachsystemen hat eine Lizenz der Skinplex Technik von IDENT Technology erworben und will diese in zukünftige Cabrio-Dachsysteme integrieren. Mit Skinplex lassen sich Menschen im Nahfeld detektieren.
